Where do I find a directory of Ravenwood families?
The directory of Ravenwood families is accessible to PTO members through the PTO website and mobile app. You must have an RHS PTO membership to view this directory and you may join the PTO at any time during the school year. PTO members may click here to access the RHS Family Directory. You may edit your contact information and you may select which pieces of information to show or hide in the directory at any time.
The RHS Family Directory contains private information and should be used for school or social purposes only. Please respect the privacy of our families and do not use this information for any commercial, political, or advocacy purposes.
How May I view my child's report card online?
You must create a Family Access/Skyward account and be given login information from the school office. Please call the front office at 615-472-4800 for information.
How do I get involved in the PTO?
Every parent or guardian at Ravenwood that participates in our Invest in Your Raptor campaign is a member of our PTO, there are no separate dues to pay. We encourage you to become involved and we have numerous ways in which you can participate. Please visit the Volunteer page of the PTO website for more information. Please consider participating in our PTO, we need your support!
How do I volunteer at RHS?
Let us know you are interested by completing this Volunteer Interest Form. Additionally, when volunteers are needed, the school or the PTO will send an email requesting assistance.
To volunteer at Ravenwood High School, you are required to be approved as a Tier 2 or Tier 3 volunteer. You may apply to be a Tier 2 volunteer by completing the School Volunteer Application and Confidentiality Agreement and returning the form with a copy of your driver's license to the Ravenwood front office.
If you are volunteering in a capacity where you will be responsible for students without a faculty member present, you will need to be a Tier 3 volunteer. In order to become a Tier 3 volunteer you must complete the School Volunteer Application and Confidentiality Agreement and you must have a criminal background fingerprint check (Volunteer Fingerprint Process). Please visit WCS's Get Involved & Volunteer page for more information.
What is the dress code for students?
The dress code is available in the Student Handbook, available on the RHS website under Resources.
What are the security procedures for the school?
To ensure a safe environment for all at Ravenwood, all visitors must show an ID prior to entering the building and then sign in at the front office. All visitors must also wear a Visitor sticker or a Tier III badge while in the building. Please visit WCS's Safety & Security page for more information.
How do I find my child's bus route?
You may determine your child's bus stop and pickup/dropoff times by entering your home address here. Please arrive at the stop 5 minutes early. Pick-up and drop-off times are approximate and can vary due to factors outside our bus drivers' control, such as traffic and weather. Stopfinder is a new app allowing students and parents to view the location of the bus during transportation hours. The app relies on GPS data to update, so plan on arriving at the bus stop five minutes prior to the scheduled time. Please visit WCS's Bus Routes & School Zones page for more information.
What is the Teen Driving Checkpoints Program?
WCS high schools requires new drivers of any age and their parent/guardian to participate in a one-hour education program before students are able to receive a school parking permit. Checkpoints Program includes videos and specific techniques to reduce injury and fatalities due to risky driving. Once students have met all of the state requirements and completed the Checkpoints Program one-hour training, parents and teens will create a Checkpoints teen driving agreement and students will be eligible for a parking permit. This program only has to be completed one time, not each school year. This free program is held at all WCS high schools and is different from typical drivers' training programs.
Please call the RHS school office at 615-472-4800 for upcoming dates for the Checkpoints Program as they are offered throughout the calendar year.
How do i early dismiss my student?
New for the 2024-2025 school year, if a student needs to be dismissed early, parents / guardians must submit an early dismissal request using the new online form. Students may pick up their early dismissal pass in Student Services any time after 1st period on the day of dismissal. If the request was not submitted in a timely manner via the form, a parent must come to the school to sign out the student. Photo I.D. is required. To minimize classroom disruptions, students must be dismissed between classes, but no later than 2:30pm.
